The Flowers follows the journey of a young girl exploring her surroundings on a summer day. The story is full of symbols that represent larger issues and concepts. For example, the frayed noose found on the ground at the end of the story could represent Myop’s roots, and interestingly, it was found around a rose’s root in the ground.
