Project #3 Data Analysis Map Project #3 Data Analysis Map this project will take advantage of analyzing data found in existing maps. Using the ArcGIS Online service start a new map and add the layers:
Home Depot Locations MA
An original display of the map is below, depicting all of the Home Depot locations in Massachusetts.
Run and analysis to summarize the data using the “Analyze Patterns” feature from the Perform Analysis menu. Select the “Find Point Clusters” Option to detect concentration of Home Depots within a 10-mile cluster. The minimum number of points to be considered a cluster for this analysis is 2. The search range is 10 miles. Provide a name for the new layer. The resulting layer should display the cluster, grouping the points based on specific color for each group. Make adjustments for color and labeling for the points. A sample of this is shown below where the cluster layer is shown. By using the “Change Style feature you can manipulate the point colors, just as you would when changing text or object colors in Microsoft Word. Note the colors (yellow, red, and blue) for the newly formed clusters.
